We are looking for an experienced baker to join our small, dynamic team in the foothills of the Black Mountains. You will be mixing and shaping a variety of bread, including high hydration sourdough, yeasted and enriched doughs. You will be baking a range of breads and pastries - and finishing products once baked - for our bakery shop and for wholesale delivery.
You will be expected to work in a clean, organised manner to a high standard of food health and safety, to understand and work with a digital recipe system to complete daily weigh-ups, and to pack orders for daily wholesale and online order deliveries.
We are looking for a baker with experience in a sourdough production bakery (viennoiserie experience is not essential). As part of a small team, you will need to be able to confidently work independently, efficiently and share responsibility for maintaining the high standards and smooth running of the bakery.
You should have a keen attention to detail and a willingness and curiosity to learn within a skilled team. You should enjoy working with us to use carefully sourced ingredients and small scale producers, be conscious of wastage and sustainability and to contribute to the preparation of thoughtfully made staff food.
There will be no night shifts, but we expect a positive, can-do attitude to early mornings.
