About Us

The Angel Bakery started trading in 2016 directly from our bakery on Lower Castle Street in Abergavenny. We make long-fermented sourdough breads and pastries by hand using flour from British mills.

As well as selling to our local community, we have built up a significant wholesale trade supplying delis, cafes and restaurants both in Monmouthshire and further afield in Cardiff and Bristol. We have become part of an outstanding local food supply network, most of whom also supply directly to restaurants.

We are delighted to announce we have expanded. The brand new Angel Bakery and General Store (50 Cross Street; just opposite The Angel Hotel);  open Wednesday & Thursday from 9.00am – 2.00pm plus Friday & Saturday from 9.00am - 4.00pm.

The shop on Lower Castle Street (adjacent to The Angel) will be used for the collection point for online orders, but otherwise everything else will be at 50 Cross Street (across from The Angel).

We are open Wednesday & Thursday from 9.00am – 2.00pm plus Friday & Saturday from 9.00am - 4.00pm
